Dr. Marc is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, board-certified chiropractic orthopedist, Fellow of the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal medicine, and Diplomate of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists in practice since 2000. He has attained an advanced level of clinical skill sets in orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, neurology, rehabilitation, clinical laboratory, case management, treatment techniques, physiological therapeutics, and evidence-based practice outcomes.
In his practice, Dr. Marc has created a multidisciplinary approach to assist his patients in returning them to their normal activities as soon as possible by delivering the highest quality care with a focus on stability, balance, flexibility, strength, and endurance. He accomplishes these objectives by offering an integrated approach to healthcare that combines physical therapy, biomechanics, massage therapy, and chiropractic manual therapy.
Dr. Dimitry Likterev was born in Kiev, Ukraine and moved to United States as a child. He grew up in Milwaukee, attended High school there and went on to University of Wisconsin for his undergraduate studies. He then went on to National University of Health Sciences (formerly NCC), receiving his Bachelors of Human Biology, and then Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University.
Dr. Likterev developed his interest in Chiropractic medicine while in college, when he was treated by a chiropractor for a motorcycle injury. Dr. Likterev’s interest in natural medicines and sports rehab also included extensive studies of neurology, acupuncture and Kinesio Taping, in which he is certified and is member of KTAI. He is also certified and practices MUA (manipulation under anesthesia). In addition, Dr. Likterev uses latest treatment and assessment tools available, such as Flexion-Distraction tables and Foot Levelers orthotic supports.
Dr. Likterev has volunteered and worked as sports chiropractor at numerous sports events, including World Swimming Championship in Goteberg, Sweden. There, his athlete, Vlad Pyshnenko took all three (50m, 100m, 200m free) gold medals for the events he has participated in.
Today, after many years in practice, Dr. Likterev continues to read, take seminars and pursue clinical excellence by keeping up with any information that might be helpful to his patients.
Dr. Layal is a board-certified Chiropractic Physician and Clinic Director. She joined our team after moving from her native island of Cyprus. Her upbringing led her to have a deep interest in alternative forms of healing and natural treatments. She specializes in Acupuncture, Nutritional Weight Loss, and Family Wellness. She is also a Certified DOT Medical Examiner.
Dr. Layal loves that Absolute Health Clinic approaches the patient as a whole and provides innovative, personalized treatments that are simply not found in other practices.
Dr. Maia Sharashidze is a board-certified Chiropractic Physician. Originally, Dr. Maia is from Georgia, where she graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University as a Medical Doctor. Later, she moved to Chicago and gained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Maia specializes in family chiropractic, acupuncture, car accident and sports-related injuries, rehabilitation, headache, diagnostic imaging. She is also certified in McKenzie method of Mechanical diagnosis and therapy and Acupuncture.
Dr. Maia joined our team in 2021 and is very enthusiastic to provide great care for our patients.
Lyuba Shapiro is a Certified Nurse Practitioner who is board certified in Adult Health and Family Health, and a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Lyuba has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry in providing high quality, sound, and compassionate patient care. She has strong and diverse clinical skills in providing needs evaluations, peer counseling, patient education, and laboratory work interpretation, care plan development for diagnoses, and administration of treatment procedures. Based on the findings, Lyuba prescribes plan of treatment individually to each patient.
Lyuba joined Absolute Health Clinic in September of 2020 and works together with the team performing evaluations as well as providing treatments. Lyuba is excited to bring new services like PRP injections that help to decrease pain in mild to moderate osteoarthritis in joints, partial ligament tears and tendon injuries.

Joy Gould is a Licensed Physical Therapist. Joy Gould brings 32 years of clinical experience in Physical Therapy to Absolute Health Clinic. She specializes in geriatric and younger patients with orthopedic and surgical conditions while emphasizing both the physical limitations and nutritional deficits patients have.
Joy has extensive expertise in Mckenzie Diagnosis and Treatment of the lumbar spine, Maitland manual technique of the spine, myofascial release, Graston technique, Pettibon spinal corrective rehab, as well as pelvic and core strengthening.

Lena serves as a liaison between patients, families, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes. She assesses patient needs, develops care plans, and ensure that medical services are provided efficiently and effectively. Lena can communicate with our patients in English, Ukrainian and Russian.
